Emirates is one of the world's most family-friendly airlines for long-haul travel. Bassinets, kids' meals, and family amenities are excellent. However, the airline has strict policies on onboard gear: strollers cannot go in the cabin, and all inflatable sleep devices are banned. Car seats are accepted with broad certification coverage. If family amenities matter more to you than gear flexibility, Emirates delivers.

Can I bring a stroller on Emirates?

Conditions
Carry-on if under 55x38x22 cm
Gate check: Free

Emirates conditionally allows one fully collapsible stroller in the cabin if space is available, but you cannot bring a car seat onboard at the same time. For infants under 2, one stroller or car seat or carry-cot is checked free. For children 2 and over, it counts against your checked baggage allowance. Strollers are not returned at the aircraft door.

Can I use a car seat on Emirates?

Conditions
Allowed
Any (FAA, EASA, etc.) certified.

Emirates accepts a broad range of car seat certifications including FMVSS 213, CMVSS, ECE R44, and ECE R129. Window seats are required, with forward-facing for children over 10 kg and rear-facing under 10 kg. The age limit is 36 months. One important restriction: you cannot bring both a car seat and stroller as cabin baggage on the same flight.

Does Emirates allow toddler airplane beds?

Banned
Not allowed

Emirates bans all inflatable sleep devices. Seat extenders, hammocks, inflatable footrests like Plane Pal, and BedBox products are all prohibited. Only the Cozigo bassinet cover is permitted. Some passengers report inconsistent enforcement, but the official policy is a clear no. Check the table below for airlines with more permissive sleep device rules.
