Getting through the airport
The Doona doubles as a stroller, so you wheel your baby through the airport in it and then fold the wheels under when you board. At 7.8 kg (7.8 kg), it is heavier than a standard infant seat, but you skip carrying a separate stroller entirely. The integrated wheels eliminate the need for a travel cart or gate-check bag for a second piece of gear.
Using it on board
At 44 cm wide, the Doona fits most economy seats but can be snug on regional jets. It installs rear-facing using the aircraft lap belt routed through the belt path. The stroller wheels tuck underneath and stay locked in flight mode. Parents report installation is straightforward once you practice the belt routing at home a few times.
