Getting through the airport
At 4.6 kg (4.6 kg), the i-Level Pro is on the heavier end for an infant carrier. It clicks into Joie strollers directly and has adapters for other brands. The seats distinguishing feature is its lie-flat recline for newborns, though this is primarily a car benefit. For airport transport, a compatible stroller or travel cart is recommended given the weight.
Using it on board
The i-Level Pro is 44 cm wide and fits standard economy seats. It installs rear-facing using the aircraft seat belt in the standard recline position, not the lie-flat position. The seat has excellent padding and side-impact protection, keeping babies comfortable on longer flights. The harness adjusts easily without rethreading, which helps when settling baby during boarding.
