Traveling with the UPPAbaby Mesa V2
Getting through the airport
At 4.5 kg (4.5 kg), the Mesa V2 is mid-range weight for an infant carrier. It pairs with the UPPAbaby Vista and Cruz strollers via a direct click-in, which is great if you already own one. Without a compatible stroller, you will want a travel cart or carrier strap. The seat has a sturdy carry handle that is comfortable for short distances.
Using it on board
The Mesa V2 is 43 cm wide and fits standard economy seats without trouble. It installs rear-facing with the aircraft lap belt routed through a clearly marked belt path. Parents appreciate the no-rethread harness, which makes adjusting the straps easy mid-flight. The deep side walls provide good head support for sleeping babies.
Good to know
This seat holds both FAA and EASA certification, so it is approved for flights in North America and Europe. The UPPAbaby ecosystem compatibility is a big plus if you are already invested in their strollers. The Mesa V2 uses a zip-off fabric that is machine washable, a genuine convenience for travel messes.
