Packing and setup
The Flyaway Kids Bed packs down to just 25x24x9 cm and weighs 1.3 kg, small enough to slip into a backpack. Inflation takes about 90 seconds and the design includes raised bumpers on the sides that keep restless sleepers from rolling off. A support leg underneath keeps the bed stable and leaves floor space free for storing a bag. Setup is intuitive, though first-timers should practice at home once before flying.
Using it in flight
Parents consistently report impressive sleep results. On long-haul flights, toddlers have slept 7 to 8 hours out of 11, which is remarkable for economy class. The raised bumpers are especially helpful for kids who move around in their sleep. The 50 kg weight limit covers most children up to about age 10. On narrower aircraft or seats with limited legroom, the bed may not inflate fully and can encroach on the adjacent seat space.
