Packing and setup
At just 0.45 kg and 35x18x8 cm packed, the Flyebaby is the smallest and lightest sleep device in this entire category. It is a fabric hammock that attaches to the tray table, creating a pouch where your baby sits facing you. Setup takes about a minute. It also doubles as a portable high chair by attaching to dining chairs, which adds value beyond flights.
Using it in flight
The Flyebaby works best for infants through about 6 months, with a 11.3 kg maximum weight. It gives lap-held babies a supported place to sit or doze while keeping eye contact with parents. Both hands stay free, which makes feeding and managing other gear much easier. Parents note that spoon feeding is simpler with the baby positioned in the hammock. It is not designed for overnight sleep but rather for giving arms and backs a break on longer flights.
Good to know
This is the most affordable dedicated infant device available. The key limitation is that it relies on the tray table latch to support the child, which some parents find concerning for heavier babies.
