Packing and setup

The Sky Bunk weighs 1 kg and packs to 33x18x13 cm, slightly larger than the Kooshion but still carry-on friendly. It comes in a drawstring backpack with zippered pockets for small items. The self-inflating version features a built-in rechargeable pump that inflates the bed in about 45 seconds, which is impressively fast and quiet. The original version uses a manual pump and takes a bit longer.

Using it in flight

Unlike the Kooshion (which fills the footwell), the Sky Bunk creates a flat, stable sleeping surface across the seat. Parents report that toddlers aged 2 to 5 stretch out and sleep properly on it. The built-in safety features keep the surface stable, and it does not block access to life jackets or air vents. The 50 kg weight limit works for most children through about age 7 or 8.
