Traveling with the Joolz Aer2
At the airport
The Joolz Aer2 maintains the same 6.5 kg weight and 53x44x23.5 cm fold as the Aer+. The fold mechanism is similarly smooth and the magnetic lock keeps everything secure during transit. Joolz refined some details for the second generation including improved fabrics and a slightly updated chassis. The airport experience is essentially identical to the Aer+, which was already very good.
On the plane
Overhead bin compatibility matches the Aer+ since the dimensions are unchanged. Expect good results on wide-body international flights and variable success on smaller domestic aircraft. The 23.5 cm depth is reasonable but the 53 cm length can be a limiting factor on airlines with stricter size policies. Parents familiar with the original Aer+ will find no surprises here.
Good to know
The Aer2 is an iterative update rather than a redesign. If you find a good deal on the original Aer+, the travel performance is virtually identical. The updates focus on material quality and small ergonomic tweaks. It remains one of the best options in the premium travel stroller category, competing with the YOYO2 on portability while offering what many parents consider a more comfortable ride.
