The Jet Double is one of the lightest double strollers for travel at 8.9 kg. The fold is large at 79 cm long, so overhead bins are out, but for a side-by-side double it is impressively compact. Gate check it and you have got a solid double that two kids can ride comfortably.

Traveling with the Silver Cross Jet Double
At the airport
At 8.9 kg for a side-by-side double, the Silver Cross Jet Double is impressively light, though you will still feel the weight after a long terminal walk. The 79x61x23 cm fold is flat but wide, which makes it awkward to carry one-handed through security. A shoulder strap helps, and the flat profile means it slides onto the conveyor belt easily enough.
On the plane
This will not fit in any overhead bin. At 79 cm long and 61 cm wide, it is gate-check only every time. The good news is that the flat 23 cm depth means ground staff can stack and store it without trouble. Parents recommend a travel bag since the fabric picks up dirt quickly on the tarmac. Gate-checking is straightforward thanks to the simple fold.
Good to know
The Jet Double is one of the lightest side-by-side doubles you can fly with, and it folds remarkably flat for its class. The trade-off is a narrower seat width per child compared to the UPPAbaby Minu Duo. It works best for toddler twins or close-in-age siblings who do not need a ton of seat room.
